Role Overview

Excis Compliance is hiring a Linux Administrator L1/L2 in Saudi Arabia.

The role provides operational support for enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

The position covers administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, security, virtualization, storage, backup, and automation.

Linux Administration and Support

  • Administer, install, configure, maintain, and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.
  • Monitor system health, availability, and performance.
  • Perform routine system administration and operational activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve Linux performance problems, hardware failures, and system incidents.
  • Escalate unresolved or complex issues to appropriate technical teams.

Network and Directory Services

  • Support and troubleshoot DNS, DHCP, and LDAP services.
  • Assist with Linux-based network and directory service configuration and maintenance.

Automation and Platforms

  • Create and maintain shell scripts for administration and task automation.
  • Develop and manage Ansible automation for repetitive operational tasks.
  • Support Linux workloads on VMware virtualization platforms.
  • Support Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift environments.

Storage and Resilience

  • Administer and troubleshoot Linux storage solutions.
  • Manage LVM configurations and support RAID configurations.
  • Monitor and resolve storage capacity and availability issues.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, backup troubleshooting, and recovery activities.

Security and Documentation

  • Apply Linux security best practices and support firewall, encryption, and access control configurations.
  • Assist with security findings and close VA/CR findings within defined requirements.
  • Maintain technical documentation, system records, troubleshooting resolutions, and operational procedures.
  • Communicate with technical teams during incidents and support knowledge sharing.

Shift Support

  • Work assigned shifts to provide continuous operational support.
  • Respond to incidents and perform administration tasks during assigned working hours.

Essential Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
  • In-depth knowledge of Linux installation, configuration, and management.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for complex system and performance issues.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, LDAP, shell scripting, Ansible, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, LVM, RAID, backup, and disaster recovery.
  • Understanding of firewalls, encryption, access control, and VA/CR remediation.
