Responsibilities
- Perform end to end Linux administration tasks
- Fix performance issues and operational bottlenecks
- Troubleshoot and provide fixes with L3 actions for system issues
- Administer high availability of infrastructure systems on RHEL, OEL & AIX
- Administer IaaS Linux instances on multiple cloud platforms
- Work as cloud infra administrator managing Linux instances in multiple cloud tenancy
- Infrastructure monitoring and reporting validation
- Operational process automation
- Patch management for cloud and on prem physical & virtual servers, YUM repositories & RedHat Satellite management
- Security compliance and adherence, system tuning, apply security best practices, comply CIS hardening standards
Requirements
- Hands on knowledge in LMV operations and LV migration across servers
- Proficiency in system hardening
- Working knowledge of Linux HA cluster and GFS2 clusters
- Experience with Linux servers in virtualized environments
- Familiarity with Linux scripting languages
- Good understanding of Linux firewalls and network tools like iptables
- Ability to build and monitor services on production servers
- Understanding and working experience of IBM AIX
- Understanding of configuration management tools like Puppet and Chef (added advantage)
- RedHat Satellite Manager experience (added advantage)
- RedHat certified professional (RHCSA, RHCSE)
- Cloud certification with Azure/Oracle/IBM Cloud (added advantage)

- Perform end to end Linux administration tasks
- Fix performance issues and operational bottlenecks
- Troubleshoot and provide fixes with L3 actions for certain system issues or components
- Prompt analysis and mitigation actions
- Administer high availability (HA) of infrastructure systems on RHEL, OEL & AIX
- Administer the IaaS Linux instances on multiple cloud platform
- Work as a cloud infra administrator managing technical procedures all the Linux instances and related components in multiple cloud tenancy
- Infrastructure monitoring and reporting validation
- Operational process automation to the maximum extent
- Patch management for cloud and on prem physical & virtual servers, YUM repositories & RedHat Satellite management
- Security compliances and adherence, system tuning, apply security best practices, comply CIS hardening standards
Must Have Skills
- Good hands on knowledge and experience in LMV operations and LV migration across servers
- Proficiency in system hardening
- Working knowledge of Linux HA cluster, GFS2 clusters

- Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages
- Good understanding of Linux firewalls, proficient with network tools such as iptables
