About the Role
Takaful Emarat Insurance seeks a Life Insurance Supervisor to oversee daily underwriting activities for Group Life and Individual Life portfolios. You will review and approve cases, ensure compliance, and provide technical guidance to the team.

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily underwriting activities for both Group Life and Individual Life insurance portfolios
- Review and approve underwriting cases within assigned authority limits
- Ensure underwriting practices align with company guidelines, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards
- Evaluate medical, financial, occupational, and lifestyle risk factors to support accurate underwriting decisions
- Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to underwriting team members
- Monitor service levels, quality standards, turnaround times, and overall team performance
- Review complex or referred cases and escalate to senior management as required
- Collaborate with sales, claims, actuarial, operations, and other internal stakeholders
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating underwriting policies, procedures, and manuals
- Support preparation and delivery of underwriting training programs
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and service quality
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to underwriting decisions
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- Minimum 5 7 years of experience in life insurance underwriting, including Group Life and Individual Life products
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical, financial, occupational, and lifestyle risk assessment
- Sound understanding of life insurance underwriting principles, risk selection, policy terms, and pricing
- Knowledge of UAE insurance regulations and industry practices is an advantage
- Excellent analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and underwriting systems
- Professional insurance qualifications such as LOMA, ALU, FLMI, or equivalent are an advantage
