  • We are looking for a detail oriented and analytical Internal Audit Officer to join our Internal Audit team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments in accordance with the approved annual audit plan.
  • Review business processes, policies, procedures, and internal controls to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Conduct audit testing, gather evidence, document findings, and prepare clear audit working papers.
  • Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, operational risks, and areas of non compliance.
  • Support in preparing audit reports, including observations, risk ratings, root causes, recommendations, and agreed management actions.
  • Follow up on audit findings and action plans to ensure timely implementation by concerned departments.
  • Assist in evaluating compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, governance standards, and applicable laws.
  • Coordinate with departments to obtain required information, documents, and explanations during audit assignments.
  • Support special reviews, investigations, and ad hoc assignments as requested by the Internal Audit Manager or Head of Audit.
  • Maintain proper audit documentation and ensure all audit files are complete, accurate, and properly organized.
  • Contribute to improving audit methodologies, templates, checklists, and reporting standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and professional integrity in all audit activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk, compliance, or control functions, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of internal audit principles, internal controls, risk assessment, and governance practices.
  • Understanding of UAE insurance regulations, corporate governance requirements, and regulatory expectations is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and report writing skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing documents, data, and audit evidence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple assignments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Professional qualifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CA, CISA, or equivalent are an advantage.
