About the Role
Takaful Emarat Insurance PSC is seeking a detail-oriented Internal Audit Officer to support the execution of internal audit assignments, evaluate internal controls, and identify areas of risk.

Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments in accordance with the approved annual audit plan
- Review business processes, policies, procedures, and internal controls to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance
- Conduct audit testing, gather evidence, document findings, and prepare clear audit working papers
- Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, operational risks, and areas of non compliance
- Support in preparing audit reports, including observations, risk ratings, root causes, recommendations, and agreed management actions
- Follow up on audit findings and action plans to ensure timely implementation by concerned departments
- Assist in evaluating compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, governance standards, and applicable laws
- Coordinate with departments to obtain required information, documents, and explanations during audit assignments
- Support special reviews, investigations, and ad hoc assignments as requested by the Internal Audit Manager or Head of Audit
- Maintain proper audit documentation and ensure all audit files are complete, accurate, and properly organized
- Contribute to improving audit methodologies, templates, checklists, and reporting standards
- Maintain confidentiality, objectivity, and professional integrity in all audit activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in internal audit, external audit, risk, compliance, or control functions, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector
- Knowledge of internal audit principles, internal controls, risk assessment, and governance practices
- Understanding of UAE insurance regulations, corporate governance requirements, and regulatory expectations is an advantage
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and report writing skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple assignments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Professional qualifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CA, CISA, or equivalent are an advantage
