Responsibilities
- Analyze and review group quotations (new cases & renewals) as requested by Sales Department
- Verify all relevant client information for risk assessment
- Assess level of risk and adjust rates accordingly based on quotation template and data
- Approve/deny quotations generated by officers based on risk assessment according to authority levels
- Analyze current year claims utilization to prepare renewal terms
- Respond to queries about pricing from Brokers/Sales Department
- Participate in performing renewal calculations/assessment on monthly basis
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly Claim/Loss ratio reports for Senior Management
- Assist Underwriting Manager in management of day to day work
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
- 3–5 years of experience in Group Medical Insurance underwriting, preferably within the UAE insurance market
- Sound understanding of group medical underwriting principles, pricing methodologies, and risk assessment
- Knowledge of UAE health insurance regulations and industry practices
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and underwriting systems

- We are looking for a detail oriented and analytical Group Medical Underwriter to join our Medical Underwriting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzes and reviews Group quotations (new cases & renewals) as requested by the Sales Department.
- Ensuring all information provided is accurate and complete.
- Verifies all relevant client information provided by the sales staff/clients/brokers.
- Based on the quotation template and data, assess the level of risk and adjust the rates accordingly.
- Approves/deny the quotation generated by officers based on risk assessment according to authority levels.
- Analyzes current year claims utilization in order to prepare renewals terms for all relevant clients.
- Responds to general queries about pricing from the Brokers/Sales Department.
- Participates in performing renewal calculations/assessment on monthly basis.
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly Claim/ Loss ratio reports for the Senior Management.
- Assist Underwriting Manager in management of day to day work.
- Update the U/W manager on work volumes, pending, review of SLA.
- Carries out any such other task as requested by the Department Manager.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Group Medical Insurance underwriting, preferably within the UAE insurance market.
- Sound understanding of group medical underwriting principles, pricing methodologies, and risk assessment.
- Knowledge of UAE health insurance regulations and industry practices.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in evaluating underwriting data and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and underwriting systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and collaborative environment.
