Responsibilities
- Use appropriate rescue techniques if observing swimmers in need
- Monitor swimming area for dangerous situations, unusual or unsafe activities, and swimmers in difficulty
- Promote recreational facility rules and regulations
- Identify situations where guests cannot safely participate and inform supervisor/manager
- Offer assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive
- Promote a cheerful and comfortable environment for guests
- Fold and stack towels according to company procedures
- Wash, scrub, and clean the pool area
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
- Complete safety training and obtain certifications
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Related work experience: None required
- Supervisory experience: None required
- License or certification: CPR certification
- First aid certification
- Physical fitness training equipment
- Any certification or training required by local and state agencies
