About the Role
Hitachi Rail is seeking a Life Cycle Support Analyst to lead comprehensive life cycle design and optimization of customer solutions for global CBTC and interlocking projects. The role involves preparing long-term support contracts, estimating life cycle costs, and ensuring system availability.

Responsibilities
- Participate and support System Life Cycle Management: determine series requiring monitoring, identify critical components, ensure codification, report obsolescence, perform sustainability assessments
- Act as Work Package Manager: lead preparation of Work Packages for bid packages, collaborate with cross functional teams, engage with engineering and sourcing, ensure alignment with contractual obligations
- Perform risk mitigation strategies: prepare sustainability analyses, publish obsolescence notifications, identify impact, activate engineering services for redesign
- Standardize bid preparation across business lines: collaborate to harmonize bid proposal process, drive unification of deliverables
- Support bid projects through preparing system life cycle estimates: convert client specifications, lead planning and cost estimation, manage LCC modeling
Requirements
- University degree in Electrical/Telecom/Systems/Mechanical (or similar) Engineering and/or significant relevant technical experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with cross functional teams without direct reporting
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting project bids within a product centric technology company
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer interface and marketing/sales experience
- Demonstrated experience in a commercial organization associated with customer interface, leadership, and delivery of engineering services
- Strong knowledge of standard computer applications, including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Possesses the ability to transform complex technical data into clear, persuasive, and professional documentation in English
- Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- An ability to understand contracted requirements
- High level interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with significant attention to detail

Job Description
- The Life Cycle Support Analyst will lead comprehensive life cycle design and optimization of customer solutions for Hitachi Rail’s global CBTC and interlocking projects.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of complex Long Term Support contracts across multiple countries.
Key Accountabilities
- Participating and supporting System Life Cycle Management: determines series requiring monitoring, identifies critical components, ensures codification, reports obsolescence, performs sustainability assessments.
- Act as the Work Package Manager: leads preparation of Work Packages, collaborates with cross functional teams, engages with engineering and sourcing, ensures alignment with contractual obligations.

Key Requirements

Base Salary Range
- CAD 80,000 CAD 105,000
