Library Assistant Student Worker

Responsibilities

• Check library materials in and out, answer phones, retrieve library materials from shelves.
• Assist library staff with shelving books and shelf reading, scan barcodes or type data into spreadsheets, cover books, stamp library materials.
• Assist library staff with labeling library materials.
• Help assist patrons with basic library inquiries, greet patrons, restock office supply stations and giveaway tables, monitor front desk, and perform periodic walk-throughs of the facility.
• Qualifications:
• Applicants with experience working in customer service preferred. Applicants must also be a current ESU student and can lift up to 25 pounds and able to stand for periods at a time.
• Additional Information:
• $10.00 hourly rate
• Up to 20 hours per week subject to change.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have English literacy skills. Employment with ESU is contingent on the selected candidate passing a thorough background check that includes: FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse, and employment/degree verifications.
