This role is focused on ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements while providing expert legal counsel to support business operations.
The Legal Specialist will be instrumental in navigating the complexities of environmental laws and regulations, thereby safeguarding the company’s interests and promoting sustainable practices.
Responsibilities
1.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to environmental services to ensure compliance and protect the company's interests.
2.
Provide legal advice on environmental regulations, ensuring adherence to local, national, and international laws.
3.
Conduct thorough legal research to support compliance and litigation efforts in environmental matters.
4.
Assist in the resolution of disputes related to environmental issues, including mediation and arbitration.
5.
Monitor and analyze changes in environmental legislation that may impact the organization, advising on necessary adjustments.
6.
Collaborate with external legal counsel on complex environmental legal matters.
7.
Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to promote environmental compliance and sustainability.
8.
Train staff on environmental legal compliance and risk management practices.
9.
Prepare legal documentation and reports related to environmental compliance for management review.
10.
Participate in negotiations with stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes in environmental agreements.
