About the Role
Al Nasser Building Materials is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to oversee legal affairs, including commercial contracts, procurement agreements, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, supplier agreements, procurement contracts, distribution agreements, and service agreements
- Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and operational matters
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and corporate policies
- Advise management on legal risks associated with business transactions and strategic initiatives
- Manage legal disputes, claims, litigation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations
- Support corporate governance activities, legal filings, licensing requirements, and regulatory submissions
- Coordinate with external legal counsel, government agencies, and regulatory authorities as necessary
- Develop and maintain legal compliance programs, internal policies, and risk management frameworks
- Assist with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
- Advise on debt collection, credit agreements, and commercial recovery matters
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the building materials, construction, and industrial sectors
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD, LLB, or equivalent law degree) from an accredited institution
- Licensed and in good standing with the applicable legal authority or bar association
- Minimum 5+ years of legal experience in corporate, commercial, construction, industrial, manufacturing, or distribution related legal environments
- Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial transactions, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance
- Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Strong business judgment and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex legal matters effectively
- High level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality

Position Overview
- The Legal Counsel will serve as the company's primary legal advisor, providing expert guidance on commercial contracts, procurement agreements, regulatory compliance, employment matters, corporate governance, and dispute resolution.
- The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership and operational teams.

Qualifications

- Previous in house counsel experience is considered an asset.

- QAR35,000.00 QAR40,000.00 per month
