- Advising on day-to-day business activities and legal/regulatory matters across the region
- Drafting and negotiating client documentation, including bilateral and syndicated credit facilities, trade finance agreements, working capital loans, guarantees, and collateral arrangements
- Developing template and bespoke documentation for both conventional and Islamic financial products
- Supporting M&A, capital markets, payments, trading, and securities services matters
- Assisting with new product launches and governance/management issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate financing documentation, including:
- Syndicated and bilateral loan facilities
- Islamic finance structures (Murabaha, Ijara, Sukuk)
- Trade finance instruments
- Project finance arrangements
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory risks
- Ensure transactional compliance with UAE law, DIFC regulations, and applicable international standards
- Manage relationships with external counsel, overseeing quality and cost-effectiveness of legal services
- Support regulatory compliance, providing guidance on:
- UAE Central Bank regulations
- Anti-money laundering legislation
- Sanctions frameworks
- Assist with corporate governance matters
- Contribute to the development of internal policies and procedures
