Job Description

  • Global eDiscovery stakeholders including A&O Shearman lawyers and Innovation teams
  • Fellow eDiscovery team members including peer Global eDiscovery Consultants in EMEA and APAC
  • Contacts from across the firm’s business functions to help facilitate team objectives
  • Account representatives from third-party software and service providers
  • Driving eDiscovery business by fostering trusted relationships with Partners and external clients
  • Providing expert guidance in the application of current technology including generative AI features and their use in culling data, reviewing documents and identifying key information
  • Designing and implementing efficient and defensible workflows for investigations, discovery, cyber and other client-data-focused exercises
  • Advising on data collection scope and method including potential use of third-party forensic service providers
  • Evaluating, testing and implementing new technologies
  • Designing and presenting engaging education sessions for the global A&O Shearman network
  • Developing and delivering presentations and documentation for internal and external marketing initiatives
  • Continually improving best practices and sharing knowledge to enhance global eDiscovery team’s service
  • Anticipating and proactively addressing business risk
  • Minimum of 15 years’ eDiscovery experience in law firm and/or comparable professional services environment(s) Excellent customer-oriented service ethos and client relationship management experienceExtensive experience with Relativity (Relativity Master) and the aiR suite of AI tools
  • Deep understanding of forensic data collection tools and techniques
  • Relevant knowledge of current IT platforms typically connected with discovery exercises
  • Command of relevant FRCP and regulator rules
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail including working methodically
  • Ability to work apace and under pressure
  • Flexibility to work beyond office hours on occasion
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other offices
  • Degree in Law, Computer Science or other relevant discipline advantageous
