Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal correspondence, and legal documents
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on contracts, construction, property, rent, corporate governance, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and employment law
- Conduct legal research and analysis on applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Support corporate governance initiatives, including preparation of board and shareholders’ meeting materials
- Assist in managing and reviewing legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration
- Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and provide proactive advice to senior management
- Assist in development and implementation of legal policies, procedures, and compliance programs
- Provide legal support in overseas investments and strategic transactions, conduct legal due diligence
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of practice as a lawyer, admitted to a Bar including in house experience (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations, preferably in property and investment industry
- Experience in banking contracts, including banking guarantees and financial facilities/loans, both conventional and Islamic
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver under challenging circumstances and tight deadlines
- Proficient in using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook)

Job Summary
- The Legal Advisor reports to the Legal Manager and is responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents, managing litigation and dispute resolution, advising on legal compliance, and managing relationships with external lawyers.
Functional Responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of local laws and regulations, preferably in the property and investment industry
- Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, legal correspondence, and legal documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis on applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Support corporate governance initiatives, including preparation of board and shareholders’ meeting materials
- Assist in managing and reviewing legal disputes, including litigation and arbitration
