About the Role
The Doris Duan-Young Autism Center is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support to children with autism in a school setting. You will implement ABA-based treatment programs and collect data.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to children of determination enrolled in a school
- Implement techniques based on Applied Behavior Analysis during 1:1 therapy sessions with children with autism and related disorders in school
- Implement structured and individualized treatment programs designed by a Clinical Supervisor, including skill acquisition programs and behavior plans
- Collect data and maintain documentation pertaining to each child’s program
- Provide ongoing guidance within each client’s individual program, ensuring each client’s continued progress
- Implement the targets on the child’s Individual Education Plan (IEP) in liaison with the class teachers and the SENCo
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field
- At least 2 years of work experience with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other Intellectual/Developmental disorders
- Preferably RBT certified by BACB or ABAT certified by QABA
- Should have an idea about IEPs or Individualized Educational Plan
- Fluent in English
- Be productive and show initiative
- Must be good at following instructions given by the Supervisor/BCBA

About the role
- The Learning Support Assistant’s (LSA) main role is to provide 1:1 support to children of determination who’s enrolled in a school

- Performs other tasks and duties within the scope of the knowledge, skills, and experience required for the job, as assigned by the BCBA or supervisor
