Role overview
Lead Test Engineer opportunity based in Chennai, India, with the source description stating a hybrid work arrangement.
The role requires 8+ years of experience across Test and QA roles and focuses on automation, cloud applications, REST services, and hardware-integrated products.
Responsibilities
- Create automation test plans and secure approval for them.
- Design and document automation test strategies.
- Create test plans, scripts, cases, and test data.
- Record results, open tickets, and close resolved tickets.
- Join developer and architect design meetings to improve testability.
- Reproduce and triage field issues in a local test environment.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and provide testing input to user stories.
- Create and execute performance scripts for spike and soak testing.
Technical requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Automation testing experience with REST Assured or Appium.
- Programming knowledge in Java or JavaScript.
- Experience with BDD and Page Object Model frameworks.
- Experience testing cloud-based web applications and REST web services.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle and software testing methodologies.
