Role overview
Lead Test Engineer responsible for validating product quality through automated functional and non-functional testing.
The role is embedded with the development team and supports cloud-based web applications and access control products.
Responsibilities
- Participate in daily stand-ups and provide testing input for user story creation.
- Create test plans, scripts, cases, and data, then record results and manage tickets.
- Attend design meetings and provide testing perspectives that improve product testability.
- Triage field issues by reproducing them in local test environments.
- Install, configure, and operate products in test and production environments.
- Support cloud application development, product enhancements, pipelines, deployments, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Graduate degree is preferred.
- 8 to 10 years of overall Test or QA experience is required.
- Strong backend testing and REST API testing experience are required.
- Experience testing AWS cloud-based web applications and web services is required.
