Lead Technical Functional Analyst I

Analyze existing Java applications, system architecture, integrations, APIs, databases, and data flows.

Collaborate with Solution Architects and Development teams to design scalable and efficient application solutions.

Work closely with Java developers to ensure accurate implementation of business requirements.

Perform impact analysis for application enhancements, upgrades, and new feature implementations.

Create system workflows, UML diagrams, sequence diagrams, and data mapping documents.

Review technical designs and identify gaps, dependencies, and risks.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint demos, and retrospectives.

Support development teams by clarifying requirements and resolving functional questions.

Collaborate with QA teams to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect triage, and issue resolution activities.

Assist with release planning, production deployments, and post-production validation.

Maintain accurate business, functional, and technical documentation.

Develop process maps, workflows, system specifications, API documentation, and integration requirements.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards and project governance processes.

Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.

8-12 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Technical Functional Analyst.

Experience working on enterprise Java application development projects.

Strong exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle.

Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced delivery environment.

Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, or Enterprise Technology experience is preferred.

CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, or equivalent Business Analysis certification.

Certified Scrum Master (CSM), CSPO, or SAFe certification.

Java or Cloud certifications are an added advantage.

Japanese language N3/N2.
