Role overview
Partner company seeks a Lead Software Engineer based in the United Arab Emirates.
The role combines hands-on frontend and backend engineering with technical leadership and architectural problem-solving.
The engineer will own features from concept through delivery while collaborating with product, design, and engineering teams.
Accountabilities
- Develop, test, maintain, and improve web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React 18+.
- Own features from technical design and implementation through testing, deployment, and optimisation.
- Build scalable RESTful APIs and integrate applications with external systems and services.
- Create responsive, accessible, and performant interfaces using React, Tailwind CSS, and TanStack Query.
- Implement authentication and authorisation using OAuth, OIDC, and session-based mechanisms.
- Maintain quality through automated testing, code reviews, and reliable engineering practices.
- Optimise SQL queries and relational database interactions for application performance and scalability.
- Use Git, Linux environments, and AI-powered coding assistants in the development workflow.
- Contribute to architecture, debugging, technical improvements, and performance optimisation.
