GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Secondary Engineer to serve as technical guarantor for design works in high voltage substation control, protection, and low voltage systems. Responsibilities
- Serve as technical guarantor of proper performance of design works in field of activity, in matter of committed design budget, deadline and Quality
- Manage design packages integrated in 'Full set' projects according to PMH
- Ensure discipline provisional document list prepared and aligned with project time Schedule with achievable task duration
- Follow full set KPI’s on monthly base
- Formalize and follow Discipline Design reviews & Gate reviews plan
- Integrate design part in ROR and formalize Mitigation plan with actions status
- Strictly follow Design management tools and submit coherent data
- Update Discipline workload plan on regular base
- Master Discipline Design hours
- Ensure Design change process in place
- Deploy and validate Discipline Interface sheets for the project
- Ensure compliance to Quality processes and procedures and GE policies and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college in Electrical or related backgrounds or relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in the related activity/discipline in project & EPC type environment in T&D, STATCOM, Power Gen or Oil & Gas industry
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Saudi Electricity Company
- This role requires up to 20% travel within MEA & Europe

Job Description Summary
- The Lead Secondary Engineer is the technical guarantor of the proper performance of design works conducted in their field of activity, in matter of committed design budget (man days), deadline and Quality, in line with Customer expectation, while promoting ease of installation, operation and mainten
- A Lead Secondary Engineer has the capacity to manage design packages integrated in 'Full set' projects according to PMH.
- As a High Voltage Substation Control, protection & low voltage system designer Engineer, your main responsibility is to design, be part of the design of a high voltage & HVDC substations, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards, protection standard, and regulat
What Will You Do
- Discipline provisional document list prepared and aligned with project time Schedule with achievable task duration
- Full set KPI’s followed on monthly base
- Discipline Design reviews & Gate reviews plan formalized and followed
- ROR integrates design part and Mitigation plan formalized and actions status identified (not started, ongoing, closed.)
- Design management tools strictly followed, and submission of coherent data
- Discipline workload plan updated on regular base
- Discipline Design hours mastered
- Design change process in place
- Discipline Interface sheets deployed and validated for the project
- No significant gap in scope and exchange of information between partners or main suppliers from our partners & Suppliers
- No serious claim from main Suppliers
- Engineering platform in place when relevant, coordination meetings organized
What Will You Bring
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college Electrical or related backgrounds or relevant experience.
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience in the related activity/discipline in project & EPC type environment in T&D, STATCOM, Power Gen or Oil &Gas industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Saudi Electricity Company.
- This role requires up to 20% travel within MEA & Europe along with other country/regions for short or medium period based on requirement.

- Knowledge of Project organization and engineering processes related to his/her scope of activity
- Experience of project technical management processes, preferably in a multi disciplinary team’s context with multiple interfaces
- Several experiences in managing externally subcontracted design work package of various sizes
- Experience in technical problem solving
- Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution industry
