Clear Creek Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team and provide clinical leadership while supporting outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.
We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment and is ready to take on a leadership role within the technician and support team.
This position is ideal for an experienced RVT who enjoys mentoring others, helping coordinate hospital flow, and serving as a clinical resource while continuing to utilize their own hands-on skills.
We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, technical expertise, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital.
In this role, you will help elevate the quality of medicine, patient care, client experience, and team development while contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.
Responsibilities
include:
- Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and support to technicians and veterinary assistants
- Serve as a clinical resource while performing advance technician duties, including but not limited to anesthesia, surgical, and dental procedures, and patient monitoring
- Maintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentation
- Partner with hospital leadership to identify workflow challenges and implement improvement
- Help coordinate daily support staff workflow and reinforce hospital SOPs, safety protocols, and clinical standards
- Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
- Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
This role is ideal for an experienced RVT who enjoys variety and is ready to lead, mentor, and serve as a clinical resource while utilizing their skills to support excellent patient care and hospital workflow.
Schedule and compensation:
•
- Compensation: $27 - $31 per hour, for each hour worked
- This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with 2 Saturdays a month.

- Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of Colorado

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
- 5+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Active and good-standing Registered Veterinary Technician in the state of Colorado**
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Client communication and education
- Strong interest in mentoring and developing other team members
- Strong clinic skills in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and patient care
- Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
- Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing
- Accurate medical record documentation
- Support safe, fear-free patient handling and restraint techniques
- Ability to multitask and help coordinate workflow in a fast-pace environment
- Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and continuous learning
**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to apply
