Role Overview
The Lead IT Applications role owns enterprise application portfolios and leads transformation, modernization, and operational improvement initiatives.
The role partners with global and regional teams across HR, Finance, Sales, R&D, Legal, Regulatory, and Manufacturing.
The position includes responsibility for vendors, security and compliance, support operations, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full application portfolio lifecycle and drive rationalization and cost efficiency.
- Lead end-to-end program delivery against timelines, costs, and business outcomes.
- Drive cloud, AI and generative AI, automation, and low-code adoption.
- Evaluate new platforms and AI use cases.
- Manage vendors and improve delivery efficiency.
- Optimize support operations through efficiency and automation.
- Enforce enterprise security, compliance, governance, and technology standards.
- Build high-performing teams with AI capabilities.
Experience
- Twelve to fourteen years of experience in IT applications or enterprise systems.
- Experience managing application portfolios and transformation programs.
- Experience in global enterprise delivery environments.
- Experience evaluating new platforms and AI-driven use cases.
Core Skills
- Platform technical evaluation and application lifecycle management.
- Experience with global enterprise environments and cloud and SaaS ecosystems.
- AI use-case evaluation and implementation.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture.
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, or ServiceNow.
Education
- MBA in IT, operations, general management, or an equivalent qualification.
- B.Tech or BE in Computer Science, IT, or a related field is preferred.
