This role has overall accountabilities for Digital and Technology infrastructure for offices, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers within India. This function is responsible for ensuring execution of Global Infrastructure strategies and plans within India and broader global GMI locations.
Engaging leadership in working with key business partners, Solution Managers, D&T teams and Vendors. The Lead Infra engineer position is critical for supporting global and regional projects/initiatives and day to day operations in alignment with GMI standards and best practices. This role also plays an important role in navigating and connecting India teams and resources with critical global infrastructure needs.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Accountable for second level support for end user support including audio visual services.
Good understanding of asset life cycle management from purchase to disposal.
Coaching and mentoring team members for better outcome and productivity.
Basic knowledge on STPI, assets the debonding, bond to bond transfer process as well as custom clearance.
Knowledgeable in preparing & reviewing BOQ for AV requirements and upgrades.
Experienced in managing data center/server rooms for various upgrades and health-checks along with knowledge on network cabling (active & passive cabling).
Experience in IT budget (Capex & Opex), asset depreciation and budget accrual.
Analyzing spending vs budget trend and sharing forecast related to upcoming spends and working with finance team as well as stakeholders
Knowledge and experience in managing procurement thereby leading RFPs.
Improving efficiency within the team by eliminating and re-defining existing processes
Responsible for reviewing service agreements, contracts, and vendor payment.
Experience in managing multiple vendors and partners for various support and services
Accountable for managing projects for new office buildouts, asset disposal, infrastructure upgrades, new/additional capabilities, and audio/video enhancements.
Prior experience for managing various audits related to STPI, procurement, asset management and regulatory requirements (DoT, Telecom, OSP etc.)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Full-time graduation from an accredited university
