About the Role
GE Vernova seeks a Lead Engineer for Field Services to perform on-site life extension, repair, and inspection activities for installed equipment. The role requires basic experience and a bachelor's degree equivalent.

Responsibilities
- All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection related service activities for installed fleets as well as monitoring for construction and commissioning of new and existing equipment at customer sites. Includes on site machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding and generator diagnostics. Can make engineering decisions.
- Develop conceptual knowledge of the professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in a broad field.
- Apply general business knowledge developed through education or past experience. Understands how own team's work contributes to the field.
- Solve problems using established procedures. Consults supervisor or senior team members for issues outside defined instructions/parameters.
- Work with others to solve problems. For customer facing roles, develop strong customer relationships and serve as interface between customers and GE Vernova. Shares technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Requirements
- This role requires basic experience. Knowledge level equivalent to a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma with equivalent experience).
- Very good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong problem solving skills.
