Role Overview
Lead the data platform that takes camera data from workers through ingestion and storage to training-ready datasets and external research customers.
The platform targets in-the-wild monocular 1920×1080p 30fps collection at approximately 100 million hours.
This is a production media and sensor-data platform role, not a warehouse, analytics, or generic backend position.

Job Summary
Lead the data platform that takes camera data from workers through ingestion and storage to training-ready datasets and external research customers.
The platform targets in-the-wild monocular 1920×1080p 30fps collection at approximately 100 million hours.
This is a production media and sensor-data platform role, not a warehouse, analytics, or generic backend position.
Key Responsibilities
- Own on-device capture, upload under unreliable bandwidth, object storage, and training-ready data shards.
- Optimize compression, codecs, and storage tiers so large-scale 1080p30 collection remains cost-effective.
- Build resilient upload with buffering, batching, retries, and observable drop rates.
- Own dataset packaging, versioning, and delivery to external research customers.
- Coordinate with Shenzhen firmware engineering on a shared device ingest contract.
- Track platform health, cost, and drop rate as new sites and countries are added.
Must-Have Qualifications
- Production media or sensor-data path experience at real scale, such as petabyte-scale storage, video codecs, unreliable-network upload, or training-shard formats.
