The company operates hardware manufacturing in Shenzhen, data collection across multiple countries, and a distributed global payment network.
Job summary
Build AI is hiring a Controller to build and own the accounting infrastructure behind global operations.
The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is hands-on, initially covering most accounting work before the team grows.
Key responsibilities
- Own monthly and annual close and consolidated financial statements for US, China, and India entities.
- Manage international accounting, intercompany transactions, foreign currencies, local accountants, and statutory requirements.
- Build accounting infrastructure for manufacturing, inventory, work in process, costing, fixed assets, capitalization, and depreciation.
- Own global payment operations, treasury, foreign bank accounts, FX, entity funding, KYC, and cross-border cash movement.
- Own revenue, receivables, collections, GL, AP, AR, payroll accounting, reconciliations, policies, controls, and approval architecture.
- Select and implement accounting and ERP systems and automate workflows.
- Coordinate audit, tax, local accounting providers, transfer pricing, indirect taxes, and entity reporting.
