Lead Dispensary Associate

• Serve as a keyholder and designated Agent-in-Charge during assigned shifts.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and real-time feedback to Dispensary Associates.
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new team members.
• Communicate operational priorities and help ensure adherence to company standards.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused team culture.

• Support daily dispensary operations while ensuring compliance with company policies and Illinois cannabis regulations.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and compliant environment for customers, employees, and inventory.
• Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash accountability and security checks.
• Assist with store audits, compliance activities, and operational initiatives.
• Safeguard company assets, including cash, inventory, facilities, and confidential information.

• Safeguard Windy City's people, cash, property and data by enforcing safety rules .
• Re ceiv e , organize , and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Support inventory counts, audits, reconciliations, and product transfers.
• Monitor inventory controls and communicate discrepancies to management.
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and serve as a role model for the team.
• Assist with customer concerns and help resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
• Promote customer education, engagement, and loyalty-building initiatives.
• Ensure the dispensary remains clean, organized, and welcoming for all customers.

• Maintain knowledge of cannabis products, industry trends, and regulatory requirements.
• Support management with special projects and store initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, or a similar customer-facing environment.
• At least 1 year of supervisory, leadership, keyholder, or management experience preferred.
• Experience utilizing Point of Sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications; cannabis retail experience is a plus.
• Strong leadership, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have open availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Dispensing Agent Identification Card issued by the State of Illinois.
• Must remain compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements, personnel policies, safety regulations, local codes, company policies, standard operating procedures, and state and local laws governing the cannabis industry.

While performing the duties of this position, employees must be able to stand or walk for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly (and more with assistance when necessary), communicate effectively, and accurately identify products, labels, and SKU information with or without corrective lenses.

All Team Members who have successfully completed six (6) months of employment in their current position and are in good standing will be considered for promotion and are encouraged to apply to open positions.

Being in good standing means an accrual of fewer than five attendance points and fewer than seven cash handling points.

Additional criteria may apply based on the skills, experience, training requirements, and certifications necessary for the role.
