Role Overview

The employer is seeking an experienced Lead Developer to direct software development initiatives and provide technical direction.

The role involves guiding engineering teams in delivering scalable software solutions aligned with business objectives.

The position collaborates with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead software application and platform design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to developers and engineering teams.
  • Translate requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure solutions.
  • Establish coding standards, architecture patterns, development practices, and quality processes.
  • Design and develop applications, APIs, microservices, integrations, and backend services.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, architects, and stakeholders on delivery and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues, performance bottlenecks, defects, and production incidents.
  • Lead technical discussions, estimation, planning, Agile ceremonies, and delivery tracking.
  • Maintain technical documentation and evaluate technologies for automation and modernization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software development, application development, software engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Strong experience leading software development teams or technical delivery initiatives.
  • Programming skills in one or more of Java, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, clean code, scalable development, APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, SDLC, version control, testing, and software delivery practices.
  • Experience with automated testing, monitoring, code quality tools, and performance optimization.
  • Cloud platform experience is advantageous; Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Git, DevOps, and Infrastructure as Code knowledge is preferred.
  • A relevant bachelor's degree and relevant certifications are preferred or advantageous.
