Overview
- Lead civil design and engineering aspects for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, ensuring structural integrity and compliance.
- Oversee site layout and grading plans, optimizing land use and minimizing environmental impact for BESS facilities.
- Manage the design and construction of foundations, access roads, and other civil infrastructure specific to BESS installations.
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to integrate civil designs with BESS components and systems.
- Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for civil works related to BESS projects.
- Conduct site investigations and assessments, considering geotechnical conditions and identifying potential challenges for BESS construction.
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, and standards for civil engineering in BESS projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of civil engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support for BESS projects.
- Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules for civil engineering tasks within BESS projects.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle for BESS initiatives.
