Role Overview
On is building a future-ready point-of-sale ecosystem connecting physical and digital retail operations.
The Lead Backend Engineer will drive integrations between POS platforms and ERP, OMS, CRM, inventory, and loyalty systems.
The role sits within the Retail Experience team and focuses on reliable technology for global retail operations.
Backend and Integration Engineering
- Design, build, and scale backend services for POS integrations across ERP, e-commerce, CRM, inventory, and loyalty platforms.
- Develop performant and secure REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Implement real-time and batch synchronization, OAuth and SSO flows, and secure event pipelines.
Architecture and Resilience
- Contribute to cloud-native, event-driven architecture for global retail operations.
- Build scalable integration patterns using Kafka, RabbitMQ, and serverless workflows.
- Support monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning for platform observability.
