About CLSTR CLSTR is a full-spectrum events, festivals, exhibitions, and entertainment company based in Doha, delivering immersive experiences across the B2G and B2B markets in Qatar and the wider MENA.
The Role We're hiring a designer who can take an immersive concept from creative brief to live show.
You'll design and program laser shows, architectural and stage lighting, and large-format projection mapping for festivals, corporate activations, government events, and cultural exhibitions.
You'll work across pre-visualization, on-site rigging supervision, and live operation.
Responsibilities
- Design and program laser shows using Pangolin BEYOND and FB4 interfaces, including beam shows, audience scanning (where permitted), and laser-mapped graphics
- Create and operate projection mapping content using TouchDesigner, Resolume Arena, and disguise media servers for surfaces ranging from stage screens to building facades
- Program lighting using grandMA3 for concerts, corporate stages, immersive installations, and architectural lighting
- Collaborate with creative directors, technical producers, and content designers from concept through delivery
- Supervise installation, alignment, calibration, and safety compliance on site
- Operate shows live and troubleshoot under pressure
- Maintain equipment inventory and contribute to gear specification as we scale
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in at least two of: laser design, lighting design, projection mapping
- Strong portfolio of delivered live events, installations, or shows
- Proficiency in grandMA3, TouchDesigner, Resolume Arena, Pangolin BEYOND, and at least one media server platform (disguise preferred)
- Working knowledge of laser safety standards (IEC 60825) and rigging safety
- Comfort reading CAD plans, light plots, and projection studies
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and event load-in/load-out schedules
- Fluent English; Arabic a plus
- Nice to Have
- Experience with KVANT laser systems and Barco projectors
- Notch, Unreal Engine, or Unity for real-time content
- Previous work in the GCC events market
