Bureau Veritas is looking for a Laboratory Analyst to join our environmental laboratory in Montreal or Ste-Foy, QC.

Please note that this is a contract position until Mid-December.

There is a possibility of extension (depending on business needs and your performance).

Your main responsibilities are:

To provide general support in the analysis of samples, and to perform complex sample preparation;

Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation;

Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;

Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data;

Understand and troubleshoot analyses;

Provide input to corrective action procedures;

Ensure deadlines are met and that the equipment is appropriately maintained;

Use summary reports to plan and organize work;

Any other related tasks.

You are an ideal candidate if you:

• Have a bachelor in chemistry, microbiology or biology;
• Have experience in laboratory (strong asset);
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Have good time-management, communication, multi-tasking and priority setting skills;
