Role Overview

The KYC/AML Analyst supports regulatory compliance and financial crime risk mitigation.

The role analyzes customer transactions, identifies suspicious activity, and maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements.

The analyst works with internal departments on customer identification and transaction monitoring compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer due diligence to verify client identities and ensure KYC compliance.
  • Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and report potential money laundering.
  • Maintain knowledge of international and local AML regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate on reporting and resolution of identified risks.
  • Develop and implement AML policies and procedures.
  • Audit transaction monitoring systems for accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare suspicious activity and compliance metrics reports for management.
  • Support AML awareness training and investigate reported suspicious activities.

Qualification Criteria

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
  • Proven KYC/AML experience within a financial institution is required.
  • Strong knowledge of global AML regulations and compliance requirements is required.
  • Analytical, investigative, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Proficiency in transaction monitoring and reporting systems is required.
  • The ability to meet deadlines, manage priorities, and work methodically is required.
  • CAMS or an equivalent Anti-Money Laundering certification is highly desirable.

  • AML compliance, transaction monitoring, risk assessment, and regulatory knowledge.
  • Data analysis, customer due diligence, report writing, auditing, and financial analysis.
  • Case management, fraud detection, process improvement, training development, and regulatory updates.
