Your Impact
Support consulting teams in solving complex client problems in the product development domain.
Focus on product development and design engagements across industries.
Spend approximately 70%–80% of the time onsite with consulting teams and 20%–30% developing domain knowledge and delivering specialized remote services.
Product Development Work
- Estimate product costs using clean-sheet costing and identify low-cost product design opportunities.
- Rationalize product designs through competitive teardown analysis and customer insights.
- Support new product development efforts to reduce development time, cost, and quality impacts.
- Conduct surveys to identify organizational improvements that support effective product development and sustainable R&D capability.
- Provide expert client service through clean-sheet costing, cost-saving ideas, cost-driver analysis, and product teardown analysis.
- Develop and maintain practice knowledge initiatives related to product development.
Qualifications and Skills
- Engineering degree in mechanical, automobile, electrical, production, or electronics engineering.
- At least 1 year of experience in should costing of parts or systems within procurement or R&D at an OEM or Tier 1 systems supplier.
