Responsibilities
- Ensure kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times
- Maintain kitchen work areas and restaurant/kitchen equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition
- Maintain a proper level of clean inventory in the kitchen with high standard of cleanliness according to sanitation code
- Follow rosters and cleaning schedules as planned and executed per contractual requirements
- Adhere to work schedules on a daily basis
- Follow proper usage of chemicals, energy and water efficiently
- Arrange adequate and appropriate equipment for projected Food Service needs
- Ensure equipment is replaced in correct areas after usage
- Proper handling of equipment (e.g. appropriate temperature control of machine)
- Organise and restock work areas for the following shift as specified in departmental standards
- Keep kitchens, workrooms, and equipment clean and in order
- Take inventories of china, silverware, and glassware

- Available locally within UAE
- Can communicate in English
- Physically fit to perform kitchen stewarding related tasks
- Experience in similar role would be an advantage

Position Overview
- We are currently recruiting for the position of Kitchen Steward who will ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times.
- Also perform duties to maintain kitchen work areas and restaurant/kitchen equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
- It is also the responsibility of the Kitchen Steward to maintain a proper level of clean inventory in the kitchen with a high standard of cleanliness according to the sanitation code.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensures he follows all rosters and Cleaning schedules that planned and executed as per contractual requirements
- Adheres to work schedules on a daily basis
- Develops specific goals and time frames to prioritise, organise and manage the daily workflow
- Ensures that information required is submitted on time as stipulated by the Executive Steward
- Takes an active interest in trends within the hospital and makes suggestions for improvement of the operation
- Follows apply usage of chemicals, energy and water efficiently to maximise output.
- Follows quality improvement team to increase efficiency, reduce wastage and streamline stewarding processes.
- Arranges adequate and appropriate equipment for projected Food Service needs.
- Ensures that equipment is replaced in the correct areas after usage.
- Proper handling of equipment (e.g. appropriate temperature control of machine).
- Assist in any other functions / areas as informed by Executive Steward.
- Organises and restocks work areas for the following shift as specified in departmental standards.
