Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and stewarding areas
- Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures
- Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and available for operational use
- Assist with movement and storage of kitchen equipment and supplies
- Support chefs and kitchen teams with operational requirements
- Remove and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards
- Support restaurant, banquet, and in room dining operations as required
Requirements
- High School Certificate or equivalent preferred
- Previous stewarding, kitchen cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to perform operational tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, disciplined, and hardworking
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Role Overview
- At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay, we are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Steward who takes pride in maintaining exceptional cleanliness, organization, and operational support within our culinary operations.
- This role is designed for an individual who understands that every outstanding dining experience begins behind the scenes—with spotless equipment, organized workspaces, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and food safety.
Your Day to Day
- Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, workstations, and stewarding areas
- Follow cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures at all times
- Ensure kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and available for operational use
- Assist with the movement and storage of kitchen equipment and supplies
- Support chefs and kitchen teams with operational requirements when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
- Remove and dispose of waste according to hotel procedures
- Segregate waste and support sustainability initiatives where applicable
- Ensure garbage collection areas remain clean and hygienic
- Follow HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times
What We Need From You
- High School Certificate or equivalent preferred
- Previous stewarding, kitchen cleaning, or hospitality experience preferred
- Experience in hotels, restaurants, or large scale food service operations is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit and able to perform operational tasks
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
