- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment
- Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and walls are clean and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including refrigeration and storage spaces
- Dispose of trash and waste materials in a timely and sanitary manner
- Recycle appropriate materials and ensure compliance with waste management protocols
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
- Refill kitchen supplies and restock items as needed
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines
- Work effectively as part of the kitchen team, maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred
- Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Summary
- Sweet Greens Restaurant is seeking a diligent and reliable Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment.
- Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and walls are clean and sanitized.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including refrigeration and storage spaces.
- Dispose of trash and waste materials in a timely and sanitary manner.
- Recycle appropriate materials and ensure compliance with waste management protocols.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
- Refill kitchen supplies and restock items as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is in proper working order and report any malfunctions to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications

Work Environment
