Kitchen Assistant

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, professional and efficient customer service to students, staff and visitors. Prepare and serve Starbucks hot and cold beverages to required brand standards. Serve food, snacks and other products across the catering operation. Operate tills and process cash/card transactions accurately. Maintain clean, attractive and fully stocked counters, displays and service areas. Replenish and rotate stock and assist with deliveries. Follow food safety, allergen, Health & Safety and safeguarding procedures. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and presentation, including general cleaning duties. Assist with opening and closing duties as required. Work as part of the wider catering team and support other college catering areas and general duties as required.

• Friendly, positive and customer-focused approach with good communication skills. • Able to work effectively as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment. • Reliable, punctual, flexible and willing to support different catering areas. • Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness and presentation. • Willingness to learn barista skills and prepare beverages to Starbucks standards. • Basic food hygiene/allergen/Health & Safety awareness desirable; full training provided. • Able to follow instructions, procedures and company standards. • Willing to complete required online training and safeguarding requirements.
