Role Overview
Yas Heat Racing's Karting Division is seeking an experienced Kart Racing Technical Manager.
The role leads the technical performance, reliability, and operational execution of karting assets across multiple categories and chassis platforms.
The manager serves as the team's technical authority and works with management, coaches, mechanics, drivers, and stakeholders.
Technical Operations
- Lead technical operations across workshop, testing, training, and race environments.
- Establish technical preparation standards for all kart categories.
- Ensure reliability, performance, and consistency across the kart fleet.
- Oversee trackside engineering during testing and race weekends.
- Manage engine allocation, compliance, lifecycle tracking, and reliability programs.
Performance and People Management
- Act as technical authority for IAME and ROTAX engine platforms, including optimization and rebuild strategies.
- Develop performance enhancement processes for engines, chassis, and components.
- Supervise and mentor senior and junior mechanics.
- Collaborate with drivers and coaches to turn feedback into measurable improvements.
