- Build and ship features in production services — REST endpoints, backend services, and front end interfaces
- Write unit and integration tests as part of the work
- Work in a Git based pull request workflow
- Integrate external APIs and data sources with proper error handling
- Debug across the stack to isolate and fix root causes
- Use AI assisted development environments to accelerate delivery
- Document what you build with clear READMEs, API contracts, and commit descriptions
- Participate in design discussions and learn to argue trade offs
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering or quantitative discipline
- 1 3 years of professional software engineering experience (or strong internships/academic projects/portfolio)
- Strong Python programming skills
- REST fundamentals and ability to build endpoints end to end
- TypeScript/JavaScript and one modern front end framework (Angular preferred, React acceptable)
- SQL proficiency beyond SELECT *
- Git in daily use (branching, pull requests, resolving merge conflicts)
- Computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OOP, concurrency)
- Hands on with a unit testing framework (pytest, Jest, or equivalent)
- Experience with AI coding assistants and ability to explain their output
- Professional working proficiency in English

The Role
- Junior Software Engineer will write production code from the first sprint.
- Build services, APIs, and interfaces for enterprise systems in the UAE and GCC.
- Work under architect review and adhere to engineering standards.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship features in production services — REST endpoints, backend services, and front end interfaces.
- Write unit and integration tests as part of the work.

Must Have: Engineering Foundation
- Strong Python — clean, readable, tested code.
- REST fundamentals and ability to build endpoints end to end (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or Node/Express).
- TypeScript/JavaScript and one modern framework (Angular preferred, React acceptable).
- SQL beyond SELECT * — joins, aggregation, indexing, schema design.
- Git in daily use (branching, pull requests, resolving merge conflicts).
- Computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, OOP, concurrency.
- Hands on with a unit testing framework (pytest, Jest, or equivalent).
- Experience with AI coding assistants and ability to explain their output.
Qualifications

- Professional working proficiency in English.
Good to Have — Signals of Trajectory
- Docker fundamentals or CI/CD pipeline (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Cloud exposure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Experience calling an LLM API from your own code.
- Message queues, caching (Redis), or systems that must stay up under load.
- Open source contributions, side projects, hackathons, or competitive programming.
