Wabtec seeks a Junior Engineer to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 4500 HP and 6000 HP locomotives, ensuring safety and compliance with local regulations. The role requires a Diploma in Engineering and 2-4 years of applicable operations experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on 4500 HP and 6000 HP locomotives
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and specific local customer safety policies
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Encourage and maintain a safe work environment
Qualifications/Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering
- 2-4 years of applicable operations experience
- Willingness to work in 24x7 operations, different shifts, various days
- Experience in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a shop environment
Desired Characteristics
- Technical experience working on rolling stock products Engines / Bogies / Brake Systems / Traction Motors / Control Systems, etc.
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot faults in Locomotive running and oversee specific job works
- Should be comfortable in learning & adopting IT systems for monitoring & maintaining Locomotives
