Role Overview
Aunt Bethany Sweets is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations.
The role maintains accurate financial records and coordinates with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Requirements
- Fluency in Arabic and English is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Sound understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
- One to three years of accounting experience is preferred.
- A degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional communication skills and discretion with financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, and payment transactions.
- Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements of account, and maintain accounts payable records.
- Maintain customer accounts, track outstanding balances, and follow up on receivables.
- Assist with bank, cash, and petty cash reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports and support month-end closing activities.
- Organize VAT-related invoices and supporting documents.
- Maintain accounting records and resolve discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
