Aunt Bethany Sweets is seeking an Assistant Chef to support its bakery and pastry team.

The role supports preparation of cakes, pastries, desserts, and other bakery products while maintaining quality, presentation, and kitchen hygiene.

Assist the Head Chef with daily bakery and pastry preparation and production.
Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production requirements.
Follow recipes to maintain consistent taste, texture, portion sizes, and presentation.
Assist with cake decorating, chocolate preparation, dessert assembly, and packaging.
Prepare orders according to schedules and communicate delays or shortages.
Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, labeling, storage, and stock rotation procedures.
Keep workstations, utensils, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
Minimize food waste, report unsuitable stock, and report kitchen equipment maintenance issues.
Coordinate with kitchen and packing teams to complete orders accurately and on time.

Previous bakery, pastry kitchen, cake shop, or similar food production experience is preferred.
Basic knowledge of baking methods, ingredient preparation, and kitchen equipment is required.
