Role Overview

Job Objective
The Junior Accountant supports the Finance and Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing daily accounting transactions, and assisting with timely reporting and compliance.
The role provides hands-on experience across accounting functions and supports the day-to-day operations of the finance department.
The position reports to the Chief Accountant.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system, including AP, AR, and GL transactions.
- Assist with invoice preparation, billing, and follow-up on customer payments.
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer account reconciliations.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for audits and compliance.
- Assist in preparing journal entries and supporting monthly closing activities.
- Support VAT documentation and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with other departments to collect and verify financial data.
- Maintain petty cash records and staff expense claims.
- Perform ad hoc finance tasks assigned by the supervisor.
