Key Responsibilities
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and profit-and-loss reports on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
- Maintain the general ledger, manage accounts payable and receivable, and reconcile bank accounts.
- Compute taxes, prepare accurate returns, and file paperwork on time.
- Inspect account books for errors or discrepancies, conduct internal audits, and assist with external audits.
- Help create budget forecasts and analyze the organization's financial health.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience using tools such as QuickBooks, Excel with pivot tables and formulas, NetSuite, or SAP.
- Strong understanding of GAAP or equivalent local financial regulations.
- High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and clear communication abilities.
- At least two years of experience in accounting in the UAE.
- CPA credentials are often preferred or may be required for career advancement.
Compensation
- Pay ranges from AED 2,500 to AED 4,000 per month.
