The employer is seeking an organized Junior Construction Accountant to support the finance department.
The role manages daily project costs, vendor invoices, and financial records that affect project budgets and profit margins.
The position reports to the Senior Construction Accountant or Finance Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Track and code all project expenditures.
- Allocate costs to specific construction job phases.
- Assist with regular job costing analysis reports.
- Monitor discrepancies between budget and actual metrics.
- Review and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices.
- Ensure payment files include proper lien waivers.
- Process client billings using progress invoices.
- Track outstanding client payments for collection.
- Post journal entries to general ledgers.
- Perform monthly bank and corporate card reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close-out procedures.
- Compile paperwork for corporate tax and VAT filings.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.
- 0–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- At least two years of UAE experience in an accounts department.
- Basic understanding of construction job costing methods is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP software such as Sage 100/300, QuickBooks, Zoho, or Tally is highly regarded.
- Strong attention to data details and sharp numerical skills.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 2,500–AED 4,000 per month.
Workplace
- The work location is in person.
