Junior Accountant

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions and maintain accounting records.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, vouchers, and other accounting documents.
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and account reconciliations.
• Follow up on outstanding payments and receivables.
• Verify invoices and supporting documents before payment processing.
• Assist with financial reports, statements, payroll-related accounting, and VAT documentation.
• Enter accounting data into accounting software or Excel.
• Assist with month-end closing and maintain organized financial files.
• Perform other assigned accounting and administrative duties.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• Candidates should have 0–2 years of accounting experience; fresh graduates with relevant knowledge may be considered.
• Basic accounting principles and bookkeeping knowledge are required.
• Familiarity with MS Excel and accounting software is required.
• Numerical ability, analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are required.
• Communication, organization, independent work, and teamwork skills are required.

Preferred Skills

• UAE experience and knowledge of UAE VAT are advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and reconciliation is preferred.
• The ability to maintain confidential financial information and willingness to learn are preferred.
