The Role
The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations across Damen Middle East entities.
The role contributes to accurate financial records, internal controls, statutory compliance, and finance reporting.
Key Accountabilities
- Process supplier invoices, employee expense claims, and accounting transactions.
- Assist with sales quotations, purchase orders, and purchase and sales invoices.
- Support bank payment preparation and execution.
- Perform bank, accounts payable, and accounts receivable reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, and prepayments.
- Support management reporting, financial schedules, and OneStream submissions.
- Maintain financial records, documentation, and audit trails.
- Support tax compliance and internal and external audit requests.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- One to three years of relevant accounting experience is required; UAE experience is an advantage.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, Microsoft Excel, and accounting or ERP systems is required.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is an advantage.
- The role requires discretion when handling confidential financial information.
