- Configure, test, and commission security systems including CCTV, access control, intercoms, and speed gates
- Manage and maintain Windows server infrastructure including RAID configurations, storage optimization, and OS hardening
- Troubleshoot and support network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, routing, and bandwidth optimization
- Perform maintenance of security systems with focus on software and head end systems
- Conduct periodic system audits, firmware upgrades, backups, and patch management
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for complex system faults and integration challenges
- Deliver on site and remote support ensuring timely resolution of client issues
- Conduct system stress testing, failover testing, and health checks to ensure 99.9% uptime
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation including as built drawings, configuration records, and commissioning reports
- Respond promptly to client inquiries and manage maintenance ticketing system
Requirements
- Degree, Diploma, ITC, or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, IT Engineering, or related technical field
- 1 3 years experience as a technician/engineer in security services industry
- Strong proficiency in installation and troubleshooting of IP based systems (CCTV, access control, intercoms, gate barriers)
- Solid understanding of IP protocols and fundamental networking concepts
- Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

About the role
- The Maintenance Technician within the Technology and Solutions Department is responsible for on site maintenance of system software components and troubleshooting security system technologies and solutions.
Responsibilities
- Configure, test, and commission security systems including CCTV, access control, intercoms, and speed gates.
- Manage and maintain Windows server infrastructure, including designing, configuring, and supporting high availability environments for enterprise grade video surveillance (RAID configurations, storage optimization, and OS hardening).
- Troubleshoot and support network infrastructure, including switches, VLANs, routing, and bandwidth optimization, to ensure low latency video streaming and data integrity.
- Perform maintenance of security systems (CCTV, access control, intercoms, and speed gates), with a focus on software and head end systems.
- Conduct periodic system audits, firmware upgrades, backups, and patch management to ensure system integrity and optimal performance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues, including hardware, software, wiring, connectivity, and Windows server configurations.
- Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for complex system faults and integration challenges.
- Deliver both on site and remote support, ensuring timely resolution of client issues and system failures.
- Work collaboratively with clients, integrators, and internal teams to maintain service excellence.
- Conduct system stress testing, failover testing, and health checks to ensure high system reliability and uptime (targeting 99.9%).
- Ensure all solutions meet quality standards and comply with operational requirements.
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including as built drawings, configuration records, and commissioning reports.
Preferred Certifications
- Avigilon / Milestone Certifications: MCIT or MCIE
- Lenel Certifications: LCA, LCP, or LCE
- Additional Certifications (preferred): MCSA, MCSE, AZ 800/801, CCNA/CCNP
Experience, Qualifications & Competencies
- Degree, Diploma, ITC, or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, IT Engineering, or a related technical field, with 1 3 years’ experience as a technician/Engineer in the security services industry.
- Strong proficiency in the installation and troubleshooting of IP based systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intercoms, and gate barriers.
- Candidates with international (non GCC) experience may also apply.
- Solid understanding of IP protocols and fundamental networking concepts.
- Excellent problem solving and diagnostic skills, with strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
