Position Summary
Supervise and coordinate cooks and kitchen workers in the banquet culinary operation.
Maintain food presentation, portioning, quality, inventory, and food safety standards.
Support kitchen staff, food and beverage service, and guest service needs.
Kitchen Operations
- Create decorative food displays and ensure proper food arrangement and garnishing.
- Monitor prepared food quantities and quality and report products that do not meet specifications.
- Inform food and beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.
- Prepare special meals or substitute menu items and provide kitchen staff with needed items.
- Monitor kitchen supplies and food stock and maintain food safety and product logs.
Team Leadership
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Develop positive working relationships and support the team in reaching common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
