About the Role
Medicals International is seeking a detail-oriented Jr. Accountant & Operations Officer to assist with daily accounting and administrative tasks. The role involves bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, and reconciliation.

Responsibilities
- Review and verify daily transactions and ensure supporting documents are attached before data entry
- Input all daily transactions (expenses, bank deposits, transfers) on relevant software including purchases and shipping charges
- Organize and file all accounting documents and related attachments
- Review, verify, and correct monthly purchases
- Post all transactions between software modules
- Reconcile all monetary accounts such as banks, petty cash, and transitory accounts
- Prepare and submit a daily report of activities and achievements to supervisor
- Provide recommendations on usage of resources and disbursements
- Abide by and participate in Medicals International Quality Management system (ISO 9001:2008)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 0 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills

Job Overview
- The Accountant and Operations Officer will assist the finance and administration team in managing day to day accounting and administrative tasks and ensuring accurate financial record keeping.
- This role is ideal for a detail oriented individual eager to grow their accounting skills in a dynamic work environment.
Bookkeeping
- Reviews & verifies all daily transactions & makes sure supporting documents are attached (e.g. invoices, receipts) before data entry.
- Inputs all daily transactions (expenses, bank deposits, transfers…) on the relevant software including purchases & their respective shipping charges.
- Organizes & files all accounting documents & related attachments.
Financial Statements
- Reviews, verifies & corrects when needed, the purchases of the month.
- Responsible for posting all transactions between software modules.
- Responsible for reconciliation of all monetary accounts, such as banks, petty cash, transitory (collection)…
Other
- Prepares & submits a daily report about his daily activities & achievements & submits it to his supervisor.
- Provide recommendations on usage of resources & disbursements.
- Responsible for abiding by & actively participating in Medicals International Quality Management system.
- Abiding by and participating in Medicals International Quality management system (placed in adherence with ISO 9001:2008 standards).
- Any other function relevant to the overall MI Accounting, which might be assigned by his/her supervisor.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 0 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
